The Wolfe Family...

Our Christian Homeschool Blog Features Fred Wolfe and Angie Wolfe. We're the parents of five wonderful children. We think about the world in which we live, and how we are to please God in it, then we write it down here. We will focus our attention on Family disciplship, homeschool topics, marriage, and a host of other things that come up as we seek to do the will of God in daily life.
"Instruction, and advice, and commands will profit little, unless they are backed up by the pattern of your own life. Your children will never believe you are in earnest, and really wish them to obey you, so long as your actions contradict your counsel... Think not your children will practise what they do not see you do. You are their model picture, and they will copy what you are... will seldom learn habits which they see you despise, or walk in paths in which you do not walk yourself." - J.C. Ryle, The Upper Room (1888)

What this blog is about...

We are a first year homeschooling family. Each week we will share tips, suggestions or concerns we run into in the whole process of home schooling our children. Let's learn together as we share in the journey. We are excited to be in the first year of homeschool- it is a time of learning and exploration.

Questions, suggestions or concerns about our home school? Leave them in the comments.
The first year is exploratory, both for the mom and dad and the kids, especially if you are pulling from traditional school. We expect much the first year. The second year is usually the transitional year where you are growing your philosphy of homeschooling and making curriculum changes. Some have found that by the 3rd year they had a clearer vision of where they were going and how they were going to get there. The first year of homeschooling is going to be a lot of fun and we are looking forward to it.

We're not going to give up during the first year! We're constantly reminding ourselves of why we are doing this. So many give up during or right after the first year not realizing it gets so much better. We are giving Glory to Jesus Christ through this first year of home school.

  • About
Fred and Angie Wolfe are two kids who grew up together and got married two weeks after graduating high school. They now homeschool their children, and go about reforming their family to the plumbline of scripture. They don't do this perfectly, which is what makes this blog interesting. Come join our family as we write about our beliefs, struggles and victories.
